After a long time, Pan Hao finally snapped out of the shock from Lin Le’s astonishing gaze. Uneasy doubts churned in his heart—damn it, what was wrong with him today? Even this nobody, this penniless loser who couldn’t even make it onto the stage, dared to threaten him? This guy had made him lose so much face in front of the whole class; before he got kicked out, Pan Hao was determined to settle the score.

“You’re looking for trouble!” Pan Hao roared, no longer hesitating. His face turned grim as he raised his fist and swung it straight at Lin Le.

The crowd gasped in surprise; they hadn’t expected Pan Hao, humiliated and furious, to resort to violence right in the classroom.

Pan Hao was tall and broad, a member of the basketball team. His physical prowess far outmatched the slim Lin Le. Moreover, nearly all the basketball team members of Class Eight stood with Pan Hao. If he made a move, they certainly wouldn’t hold back.

No matter how you looked at it, Lin Le was at a considerable disadvantage. This time, it seemed certain he would suffer greatly.

Pan Hao’s powerful fist was already flying toward Lin Le.

Faced with the incoming blow, Lin Le didn’t even attempt to dodge.

Even Lu Hongzhe’s heart clenched—damn, big brother, why aren’t you dodging? Are you so scared you’re frozen?

Everyone prepared themselves to watch Lin Le’s face get smashed.

But in the next second, there was a dull thud. Pan Hao’s fierce fist was caught by Lin Le’s single hand!

“What?!” The crowd was stunned.

Pan Hao’s eyes widened in disbelief. He had thrown his full strength into that punch, yet Lin Le had caught it effortlessly.

How was this possible?

Before Pan Hao could think further, a sharp glint flashed in Lin Le’s eyes.

“You brought this upon yourself!”

Suddenly, Pan Hao felt an immense, overwhelming force surge from Lin Le’s palm, crashing down upon his fist like a tidal wave.

In the next moment, Pan Hao was flung backward, crashing with a loud bang into a heap of desks and chairs.

For a brief instant, the entire Class Eight fell silent. Everyone was dumbfounded by what they had just witnessed.

The towering Pan Hao had been sent flying by a single blow from the slender Lin Le!

Unbelievable!

Even the basketball team members were stunned. The scene had been so bizarre; they hadn’t even seen how Lin Le exerted himself, yet Pan Hao was already sprawled on the floor.

“Brother Hao!” they called out tentatively.

Pan Hao struggled to his feet, feeling as if every bone in his body had been shattered, numb to the point of having no sensation.

“All of you, get him! Beat him down, and if anything happens, I’ll take responsibility!” Pan Hao was the captain, and the team members obeyed him without question.

With his command, seven or eight basketball players surged forward, surrounding Lin Le.

“Damn it, you’re going too far!” Lu Hongzhe tried to argue but was slapped to the ground by a burly, overweight center. “Serves you right for meddling!”

Lin Le frowned, anger rising. With a leap, he soared nearly four feet high.

A crisp slap rang out, and the heavyset center was sent sprawling, the chair beneath him shattered, unable to get up again.

Before the others could react, Lin Le’s fists rained down, accompanied by the chaotic clatter of furniture.

Seconds later, peace returned. Only the fallen basketball players remained, groaning in pain.

The entire classroom was frozen in shock.

In just a few seconds, Lin Le had defeated the whole basketball team! This transfer student was terrifying!

Seeing his teammates lying everywhere, Pan Hao’s mouth twitched in disbelief.

“Lin... Lin Le, you dare hit members of our basketball team!” Pan Hao shouted.

Lin Le snorted, “I hit them, so what can you do about it?”

“You...” Pan Hao was so furious he couldn’t speak. Lin Le was so formidable that Pan Hao didn’t dare to talk tough. In the end, he could only say, “Fine, we’ll see about this!”

With that, Pan Hao led his team toward the door.

“Stop! Did I say you could leave?” Lin Le’s voice was calm, yet carried an undeniable authority.

Pan Hao and his teammates froze, not daring to take another step.

“What... what else do you want?” Pan Hao asked, lacking confidence.

“Nothing else. You started this, injured my desk mate, and didn’t even offer an apology. You think you can just leave?” Lin Le fixed his gaze on Pan Hao.

The heavyset center hesitated, then finally muttered, “Sorry,” to Lu Hongzhe.

Lu Hongzhe was astonished. Lin Le, however, was not satisfied.

“I wasn’t talking to you. I meant him,” Lin Le said, looking at Pan Hao.

“Don’t push your luck!” Pan Hao glared at Lin Le.

“And what if I do?” Lin Le replied, watching Pan Hao with interest.

A chill ran through Pan Hao’s heart. He regretted it; he had thought this transfer student would be easy to bully, never expecting him to be so tough.

He had no choice but to admit defeat.

“Sorry...” Pan Hao said, subdued.

“Good. Now you may leave.”

With permission, Pan Hao and his teammates slunk out of the classroom, humiliated.

Everyone else stared at Lin Le with strange, awed eyes.

The girls finally began to understand why the seemingly ordinary Lin Le had caught the attention of the school’s renowned beauty, Xu Xier.

He was simply too impressive!

“Are you alright?” Lin Le asked Lu Hongzhe.

“Damn, Brother Le, you’re incredible! I’ve never seen Pan Hao back down to anyone. From now on, I’m sticking with you!” Lu Hongzhe was so excited he hardly noticed the bright red handprint on his face.

Lin Le smiled wryly—Lu Hongzhe was indeed a character.

“But Brother Le, Pan Hao is notoriously petty. You made him suffer such a big loss; he definitely won’t let this go! I bet he’ll cause you more trouble. You have to be careful!” Lu Hongzhe warned.

“Don’t worry, I will.” In truth, Lin Le didn’t care much.

He had seen countless fights and acts of revenge. He was long used to such things.

For the next class, Pan Hao and his crew were nowhere to be seen. Not until the afternoon session did Pan Hao return, a hint of smugness on his face.

He had already spoken with Zhao Hu, waiting for school to end so they could ambush Lin Le.

Let the kid enjoy himself for one afternoon; once Zhao Hu made his move, Lin Le wouldn’t know what hit him!

The day’s lessons quickly came to an end. As the students packed up and left the classroom, they were surprised to see Xu Xier, now dressed in a pale blue dress, waiting like a fairy outside the door.

Lin Le was also taken aback when he saw her.

“Come on, I’ll treat you to dinner!” Xu Xier said with a smile.

The boys were all green with envy.

They hadn’t even had the chance to invite the school beauty to dinner, let alone have her invite someone herself.

Lin Le was the object of their jealousy!

Lin Le had intended to decline, believing from experience that something was bound to happen after school today.

But it had been so long since he’d seen her, and he couldn’t bear to refuse her right away. Besides, the likes of Pan Hao didn’t even register as a real threat to him.

So he accepted Xu Xier’s invitation without much thought.

Xu Xier, as always, liked to link arms with Lin Le as they walked, swaying gently.

But now she had grown into a graceful beauty, her figure more mature. As she clung to Lin Le’s arm, their bodies inevitably brushed, leaving Lin Le a bit distracted, though Xu Xier seemed unaware.

“Brother Lin Le, why is your face so red?” Xu Xier asked curiously.

“It’s nothing, maybe just a final glow before dusk,” Lin Le replied.

“……”

As they walked, the pair drew countless stares.

People could hardly believe it—the famously proud school beauty, Xu Xier, was acting like a shy girl before this unfamiliar boy.

“Am I seeing things? Is that really our school beauty, Xu Xier?”

“Who’s that guy? They’re so close. Could he be her boyfriend?”

“Xu Xier has a boyfriend now? When did that happen?”

Lin Le and Xu Xier heard every word.

“Brother Lin Le, they’re saying you’re my boyfriend,” Xu Xier said with a playful, ambiguous smile.

“Don’t listen to their nonsense. Clearly you’re my boyfriend,” Lin Le joked.

“You’re so annoying!” Xu Xier giggled, her cheeks flushed like peach blossoms.

Lin Le laughed, but secretly he was troubled. After all these years, the little girl had grown into a stunning beauty—a real femme fatale. He feared that someday he might really be swept away by her…
