Chapter 135: You Are a Piece of Filthy Excrement
The night in HZ City was exceptionally prosperous, never once succumbing to decay. It seemed that every day, it grew more vibrant and dazzling.
On the straight and wide Xinyang Avenue, a white Toyota Land Cruiser roared recklessly, its engine thundering like the surging tides of the ocean or rolling peals of thunder. Traffic was heavy, and given the massive size of the SUV, one would normally follow the rules and crawl along with the flow.
Yet, this was not the case.
A pair of slender, fair hands maneuvered the steering wheel with agility, flicking the paddle shifters while the right foot danced rapidly between the accelerator and the brake, pressing and releasing with varying intensity. The movements were clean, fluid, and elegant. As a result, the bulky SUV transformed into a nimble monkey, cutting through traffic in a series of sharp, continuous S-curves, weaving and overtaking as it surged forward.
With nearly every pass, the nose or tail of the SUV brushed dangerously close to other vehicles; a moment's carelessness would have resulted in a collision. Even more terrifying were the cars in the adjacent lanes. From the perspective of those drivers, the SUV seemed to be diving toward them at a 45-degree angle. This harrowing sight left all the other drivers breaking into cold sweats, their feet slamming onto their brakes.
But they couldn't just brake—the road behind them was packed with cars. Forced by circumstance, they would release the brake and step back onto the gas to keep moving.
In that brief moment of hesitation—barely half a second to a second—the SUV had already completed its daring overtake and was already sliding into another S-curve, veering toward the other side.
It was a violent and absurd display of driving, enough to make one grit their teeth in fury.
Jiang Chuxue, usually so meticulous and disciplined, was acting strangely today, as if she had lost her mind. Had it not been for her superior driving skills, she would have crashed long ago.
Li Xin, in the passenger seat, offered a few reminders, but she seemed not to hear him, offering no response.
Indeed, she could not hear him—at least, not with her conscious mind. The shock Li Xin had brought her at Wanda Plaza lingered, refusing to settle. She found it hard to believe. It seemed that only speed and passion could help her relax.
Just as the famous line from *Furious 7* goes: "And we got it cooking like a one-eyed stove. Drag racing or death!"
It was a philosophy of life, a unique way for Jiang Chuxue to release her stress. Of course, the prerequisite was that she ensured her own safety.
She only wanted to get back quickly, sort through the events of the day, and find a resolution. Otherwise, given the strength of the opposing party, Li Xin would likely be dragged into a sea of trouble.
As for Li Xin, seeing her lost in thought, he didn't bother to interrupt. He didn't take these potential troubles to heart; with his current abilities and his "eat-alone-and-the-whole-family-is-fed" lifestyle, he had few worries or anxieties.
As the saying goes, "Soldiers come to block, water comes to earth." Only by being sufficiently strong and unyielding could he secure lasting peace.

When they returned to the Pepsi Club, it was nearly 10:00 PM. The two exchanged a few brief words before parting ways, each returning to their own room. Before logging into the game, Li Xin called Wang Xiaoqian.
*Beep... beep... beep...*
It took a long time for her to answer, and the sound of heavy, hurried breathing immediately filled his ears.
"Mm... mm... ah... huff..."
Li Xin couldn't help but frown. In his mind, the scene from a month ago at the Gaoyou villa surfaced—hot and passionate. Rarely, his hormones surged rapidly, leaving him restless, as if a brazier were burning inside him, radiating intense heat. His pores, his senses, his forehead, palms, soles, and underarms were all slick with glistening sweat.
It wasn't until the final, heavy moan on the other end of the line ceased that Li Xin suddenly snapped out of his trance. Panicked, he set the phone down and ran to the bathroom, quickly turning on the faucet.
Cold water gushed out, drenching the back of his head and sending a piercing chill through him.
"Whew..."
He let out a muffled breath, quickly calming himself down. He walked back out of the bathroom to find a stream of shouting coming from the receiver.
"Hello? Hello? Say something! Where the hell did you go?"
"Damn it, are you in trouble? Just wait, I'm coming to save you right now!"
"Heh... this dramatic young lady." Li Xin managed a bitter smile and picked up the phone. "Hello."
A brief pause was followed by a violent storm, overwhelming and imposing.
"Damn it! I thought you were dead!"
"If you don't say something, I'm actually going to run over there to rescue you!"
"..."
Wang Xiaoqian’s words came in a rapid-fire string, like a barrage of gunfire, leaving Li Xin with no idea how to respond. After a long while, she finally quieted down.
"Calling me this late at night, are you missing me? Or are you missing me? Or are you missing me?"
"Uh..." Li Xin scratched his head. "None of the above. I have something to ask you."
"Oh... go ahead then," Wang Xiaoqian replied, sounding somewhat disappointed.
Li Xin didn't think much of it. Just as he was about to speak, he remembered the earlier incident and teased, "My dear sister, were you touching yourself again?"
"What?" Wang Xiaoqian froze, stunned.
For a long time, there was silence. Li Xin assumed she was embarrassed and was just about to apologize and get to the point when he heard a loud crash on the other end, like a glass shattering.
"Oh no..." Li Xin gulped hard. Had he lost his mind? How could he say something so inappropriate?
Sure enough, the heroine was furious, and the consequences were dire!
"Li Xin!" she roared. It was as if all her pent-up rage needed to be vented in this very moment, and as if all her bashfulness needed to be perfectly masked by this outburst. Her emotions were complex, her thoughts chaotic. While not entirely caused by Li Xin's remark, he, that stinking jerk, had been the one to snap the final string of restraint she had been desperately holding onto.
Now, she had to release it. Since the string had snapped, let it break. Throw away the bad luck; at worst, she could start over.
"Li Xin, you bastard! You stinking piece of dog sh*t, you idiot, you—"
She ranted wildly, spewing a series of insults. Li Xin felt a dark cloud hang over his face. Several times he tried to interject with an apology, but there was no opening. However, he did manage to clarify one thing: Wang Xiaoqian’s outburst wasn't entirely because of him.
What kind of trouble had she actually encountered?
Putting the call on hold, he found Wang Huiyan’s number and quickly sent a text message. A reply came back shortly.
"I’m at Xiaoqian’s door. She received a call around noon today, and her mood has been bad ever since. Around 7:00 PM, she suddenly smashed her game helmet into pieces and locked herself in her room. None of us know what happened; she won't open the door."
A phone call? Smashing her helmet?
The latter, Li Xin could understand; she must have hit a setback in the game. But the former? Who called her? And what did they say?
Baffled, a sudden thought struck Li Xin, and he slapped his forehead hard.
