Chapter 112: The Pitiful Strength Clan
Tang Hao stormed out of Shrek Academy, heading straight toward the Sunset Forest.
Xiao Wu had only just departed the academy herself. Her pace was no match for Tang Hao’s; he quickly overtook her and vanished into the distance. Sensing his familiar spirit power and the direction in which it faded, she immediately guessed his destination. She couldn't help but cheer in excitement, whispering, "That's wonderful! Uncle Tang must be going to settle the score for Third Brother. That damn Nine Stars Palace, daring to treat Third Brother like that—they all deserve to die!"
"Nothing but a fool looking for a beating, little rabbit."
Suddenly, a voice dripping with disdain sounded right beside her. Terrified, Xiao Wu leaped away, instantly manifesting her martial soul. Three spirit rings—two yellow and one purple—swirled around her as she glared toward the source of the voice with extreme wariness.
Not far away stood a man dressed in black, his hands clasped behind his back. His eyes were cold as blades, and he exuded an arrogant aura that seemed to look down upon the entire world. It was Rhadamanthys.
Watching the nervous Xiao Wu, Rhadamanthys sneered. "Little rabbit, don't bother struggling in my presence."
As he spoke, nine spirit rings—two yellow, two purple, four black, and one red—rose from his body. His formidable level 96 spirit power suppressed Xiao Wu, pinning her in place, unable to move a muscle.
Xiao Wu felt as if she had fallen into an ice cellar. A Title Douluo—it was another Title Douluo! Weren't there only a dozen or so Title Douluos on this entire continent? How had they all ended up clustering around her?
"You greedy human! Don't even think about getting your hands on my spirit ring and spirit bone!" Red light erupted from her body; clearly, she intended to self-destruct.
"Overestimating yourself! Even if you still possessed your hundred-thousand-year cultivation, you wouldn't be able to self-destruct before me!"
Rhadamanthys moved with blinding speed, appearing behind her in an instant. He struck the back of her neck with a merciless palm, knocking her unconscious and sealing her spirit power in one motion.
Lifting Xiao Wu, Rhadamanthys glanced first in the direction Tang Hao had gone, then turned his gaze toward Tiandou City. A playful smile curled his lips. "Aiacos, I wonder if you’ll be in time to see which one of us this Clear Sky Douluo ends up falling to."
With a flash, he transformed into a streak of light and sped off in pursuit of Tang Hao.
Meanwhile, in Tiandou City, at the headquarters of the Strength Clan, every member stood frozen as if struck by a paralysis spell. Their faces were pale as parchment, their legs trembling uncontrollably, and their dull eyes held only one emotion: terror.
The source of their fear floated silently in mid-air, hands behind his back. His deep, dark eyes were like unfathomable icy pools, radiating a chilling intent that made anyone he glanced at feel a shiver run down their spine.
Before him, the usually arrogant patriarch of the Strength Clan, Titan, breathed in shallow, ragged gasps. His face was twisted as if enduring agony, and half his body was stained crimson, blood still gurgling from his wounds.
"Titan, this is the price for daring to oppose the Nine Stars Palace. If Elder Yang Wudi hadn't pleaded for your life, your entire clan would have been wiped out today." Aiacos’s expression was cold, his voice filled with murderous chill.
What was most terrifying was that he hadn't even summoned his martial soul. By merely manipulating his spirit power, he had reduced Titan—a renowned powerhouse among Spirit Douluos—to this pathetic state.
"I’ll fight you to the death!"
Titan was a man of status in the spirit master world; he had never suffered such humiliation. A surge of rage rushed to his head, and ignoring the massive gap in their strength, he unleashed his strongest attack: "Eighth Spirit Skill: Heaven-Shaking Earth-Shattering!"
His eighth ring, derived from a more than fifty-thousand-year-old Titan Giant Ape, granted him an area-of-effect ability. Releasing 150% of his maximum power centered on his position, the attack would not cease until his opponent fell.
"Seeking death!"
Facing Titan’s ultimate strike, Aiacos finally revealed his martial soul. High in the sky, a giant bird radiating an exotic light spread its wings, blotting out the sun and casting a shadow over the entire Strength Clan. Nine rings—yellow, yellow, purple, purple, black, black, black, black, red—appeared in succession.
"Sixth Spirit Skill: Golden Winged Heaven-Shaker!"
Aiacos’s martial soul, Garuda, spread its wings several meters wide, condensing endless power within them. As he flapped them, a powerful gale surged forward to meet Titan.
Boom!
The two skills collided, producing a thunderous roar. Though Aiacos had used only his sixth spirit skill, it firmly suppressed Titan’s eighth. After only a moment of stalemate, the gale unleashed by Garuda crushed through Titan’s defenses like a steamroller.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Under the horrified gaze of the Strength Clan, their once-mighty patriarch was sent flying like a cannonball. He smashed through six or seven buildings before coming to a halt, leaving nothing but ruins in his wake.
Aiacos had no interest in pursuing him to deliver a finishing blow. He was confident that after taking that hit, Titan was no longer capable of combat.
He slowly turned his gaze toward Titan’s son, the young patriarch Tai Nuo. The level 58 Spirit King, targeted by that stare, turned deathly pale. With a trembling voice, he stammered, "Sen... Senior, you... you..."
"I have no patience for your nonsense!"
