Chapter 121: Those Who Offend Me Shall Surely Die, Part 3
Although Le Kai appeared to be in a state of manic madness, covered in blood and grime, and looking little different from King Kong, Sang Qing felt not a shred of joy. Instead, he was consumed by deep anger and humiliation. This was an utter slap in the face! In his career as a martial artist, this was the first time he had been suppressed and beaten by someone with lower strength than himself.
For a man as proud and conceited as him, this was the ultimate disgrace.
"Le Kai, since you are so eager for death, I will grant your wish... Sword Splits the Void!"
Sang Qing could endure no more. This brat was truly relentless. He had initially assumed that the berserk state triggered by Le Kai’s secret technique could only last for a short while, but it now seemed he was only growing fiercer with every strike, showing no signs of stopping. To keep retreating like this was simply not in Sang Qing’s nature.
Gritting his teeth, he swung his long sword. No longer retreating, he charged head-on toward the maddened Le Kai. With his true energy concentrated, he swung his sword fiercely, colliding violently with Le Kai’s scimitar.
This counterattack exhausted almost all of Sang Qing’s strength. Le Kai felt as if he had slammed into a massive mountain; his scimitar vibrated violently, slipping from his grasp and flying a hundred meters away. He felt as though every bone in his body had shattered. The intense shockwave rampaged through his frame, threatening to tear his entire body apart. The violent, chaotic energy within him surged wildly, and his mind buzzed, losing the ability to think.
"Le Kai..." Wu Meitian cried out in shock.
"Boss..." Lan Bo let out a wretched howl.
Le Kai’s body collapsed to the ground like a broken sack, kicking up a cloud of dust. Though the situation was unclear, his twisted, struggling figure was heart-wrenching to behold.
The enraged Sang Qing did not want to give Le Kai another chance. His form flickered like a flash of sword light, moving too fast for the naked eye to track. His sharp blade plunged downward, aiming to pierce straight through Le Kai’s heart. The previous strike had consumed much of his true energy, so he did not infuse this blow with it. However, as a Star-level martial artist in the "Micro-Perception" realm, he possessed fifty thousand units of force. If this blow landed, even the hardest rock would likely shatter.
Witnessing this, almost no one believed Le Kai could survive. They gritted their teeth, glaring at Sang Qing with eyes spitting fire.
At the same moment, Gu Xi sneered, "Beast, your master is about to be finished. You might as well go join him!"
He raised his gleaming blade, surging it with true energy until a blade-aura several meters long erupted from it. With a leap, he hacked fiercely down at the prone King Kong.
King Kong was already at the end of his rope. Having fought Sang Qing above his own level and now suffering the side effects of the "Violence Pill," his physical strength was severely overdrawn, leaving him on the verge of collapse. Yet, seeing Le Kai about to be run through by Sang Qing’s sword, a burst of unknown power surged within him. He let out a roar, his massive body suddenly standing upright. The staff in his hand, forged from an unknown material, bent sharply, catapulting his huge frame into the air. Mid-air, King Kong opened his maw and sprayed a mouthful of foul-smelling, hot blood at Gu Xi. Had it been a human, it might have been different, but given King Kong’s immense size, this spray of blood was like a basin of cold water poured directly over Gu Xi’s head. If he didn't dodge, he would be covered from head to toe.
Gu Xi cursed. Being someone who valued cleanliness above all else, he naturally hesitated for a split second.
It was this very hesitation that allowed King Kong to descend with immense momentum, man and staff as one, smashing down with brutal force.
*Bang!*
Though Gu Xi’s blade was small, it was infused with all his strength. King Kong might have had the advantage of size, but it was all for show. In the collision, it was King Kong who was sent flying. His massive body hit the ground like a fallen meteor, instantly creating a deep crater in the hardened earth. A cloud of dust billowed up, obscuring the view.
Under the terrified and desperate gazes of everyone, Sang Qing sneered and drove his long sword down with a *swish*.
In his eyes, Le Kai, having exhausted his true energy and strength, was nothing more than meat on a chopping block, to be sliced however he pleased. With victory in his grasp, his mind began to scheme again. He steered the sword away from vital organs, pinning Le Kai to the ground like a nail.
Le Kai let out a low growl, like a wounded beast. Though the sound was low, it was filled with infinite brutality and murderous intent.
"Already with one foot in hell, yet you still dare to be so arrogant? I shall sever the tendons in your hands and feet and see how you keep your pride," Sang Qing said with a cruel smile. He drew his sword, preparing to slice the tendons.
But at that moment, he suddenly felt a wave of unease; a sense of danger surged in his heart.
Sang Qing watched Le Kai warily, unwilling to believe that this feeling came from the youth before him, who looked as if he could barely move. *Could there be an expert lurking in the shadows, waiting to ambush me?* Sang Qing’s heart skipped a beat. He expanded his spiritual perception to search the area, but there was nothing unusual within a thousand-meter radius.
Sang Qing was suspicious and hesitant. Convinced that he was just being paranoid, he smiled smugly and swung his sword casually.
According to his calculations, this casual move, containing several variations, would make severing the tendons of an immobile person a simple task. But after he struck, he realized something was terribly wrong—his attack had missed. How was that possible?
Before he could process his surprise, an aura of extreme danger erupted. With a low, soft moan, he felt a violent pain in his abdomen. Then, his entire Dantian felt like a balloon being punctured by a sharp object.
Sang Qing was terrified. He knew better than anyone what the Dantian meant to a martial artist—it was the source of all power! With his Dantian destroyed, he was ruined. Theoretically, the flesh of a Star-level martial artist was incredibly tough; ordinary blades without the infusion of true energy could hardly pierce it. Furthermore, he was in a state of high alert, his true energy forming a protective layer like armor. To pierce his armor and his iron-hard skin to damage his Dantian was practically impossible!
Yet, it had happened.
With his Dantian punctured, even as a Star-level martial artist, Sang Qing’s strength vanished instantly. Acting on instinct, he slammed his palm down. Though his energy had leaked away, his physical strength remained. A palm strike with fifty thousand units of force was enough to shatter anything.
*Boom!*
*Ah...*
Though he succeeded in hitting a solid object, to his utter disbelief, that incredibly sharp thing had pierced through his hand with at least five points, punching clean through his palm.
*This... how is this possible? How could this happen?*
Sang Qing was shaken to his core. All of this occurred in the blink of an eye. At his level, he hadn't even had time to react—one could only imagine how fast that speed had been. Sang Qing withdrew his sword to slash horizontally, attempting to defend himself.
A massive force collided with him. The sharp object had withdrawn, but Sang Qing’s palm was now riddled with five terrifying, bloody holes. He stumbled back, thinking of nothing else but turning to run.
It was truly terrifying.
At this moment, his lower abdomen was drenched in blood, his intestines already exposed; it was a gruesome sight. His left palm was dripping with blood, clearly crippled. The fear of death surged over him like a tide; he only wanted to escape, the faster, the better.
*Why had that youth, who was clearly on the verge of death, suddenly become so terrifying? And those sharp, gleaming things—were those his claws?*
Sang Qing was on the verge of a breakdown. He used every ounce of strength he had to run toward his shuttle. His only hope for survival now was to flee.
Le Kai’s eyes were now entirely replaced by a blood-red hue. It was a strange, eerie red; one could not see the pupils, only swirling blood-colored currents, like a bottomless red vortex. His hands had undergone a horrific transformation. They were no longer human; his five fingers had become five incredibly sharp claws, each a foot long, with pale red flames flickering over them. It was a bizarre and terrifying sight. As he twitched them, they emitted a series of *crackling* air-burst sounds. He had completely transformed into a different being; the wounds on his body seemed to no longer exist, having no effect on him whatsoever.
*Awoo!*
A low growl emanated from his throat. He hunched over, moving on all fours, no different from a wild beast. With a single push, four deep holes appeared in the ground as he launched himself like a meteor streaking across the night sky, vanishing in an instant.
Constant provocation and subconscious suggestion had finally triggered the "Berserker Technique." As his strength increased, this current berserker state was vastly different from the beginning. The most prominent changes were his eyes and hands—he was truly a living beast. The only thing that remained was the multi-fold increase in awareness and power, and the brutal desire for slaughter.
After a few leaps, Sang Qing had just entered the shuttle and triggered the distress signal. Before he could press the protection button, he heard a thunderous crash. The alloy door was torn apart by brute force, and a terrifying figure appeared before him as if by teleportation.
Looking at the horrific figure before him, Sang Qing let out a scream of terror. It was unbelievable, absurd to the extreme.
Le Kai’s consciousness was blurred. He only knew that the person before him was the one he must kill; he could think of nothing else. He locked his gaze onto Sang Qing. Under the stare of those eyes with their eerie red vortices, Sang Qing felt his soul being ripped from his body. His consciousness felt as if it had fallen into a bottomless abyss, sinking away.
The next second, the vortex expanded instantly. A sharp pain bloomed in his chest, and he felt liquid dripping from his back. He knew it was his own blood, for Le Kai’s sharp claws had pierced through his heart and out his back.
"No..."
This wretched howl did not come from Sang Qing. Now, with his Dantian destroyed and his heart shattered, even the gods could not save him. He died quietly, his eyes bulging from their sockets, filled with infinite terror and confusion.
Le Kai let out a roar, seemingly unable to vent the brutality within him. He jerked his claws out and slashed wildly. The body before him was torn into countless fragments like a shredded canvas.
He then stepped forward and plunged his claws into the large screen. On the screen, a man in his forties watched the scene in agony and despair. He screamed and beat his chest, but it was to no avail, and he finally vanished amidst a plume of smoke.
