Chapter 29: There Is Poison in the Fart!!
"Kid, get lost. We're taking these two women and the roasted meat."
One of them chuckled and reached out toward Liu Shiyun.
Lin Yu’s eyes narrowed.
His right hand shot out, grabbing the man’s wrist. Instantly, flames surged from his palm, consuming the man’s hand.
"Aaaahhh!"
The man let out a shrill, agonizing scream.
"An Awakened talent user!!"
Seeing this, the others involuntarily stumbled back a few steps.
The leader immediately pulled a gun from his coat, pointed it at Lin Yu, and barked, "Let go, kid! You’d better not move, or the bullets in my gun won't have eyes."
"Don't think you're special just because you've awakened a talent. I've killed plenty of talent users with this gun!"
The burly leader gripped his weapon, feeling a surge of confidence. They had encountered many talent users before, but in the face of bullets, they all had to obediently crouch down with their heads in their hands. Those who refused to listen had already been sent to the afterlife.
"Aaaahhh!"
"Bastard, let go of me!"
The young man held by Lin Yu was yowling, his arm already reduced to a bloody mess by the flames. This was only because Lin Yu was holding back; he didn't want to cook human flesh while trying to enjoy his barbecue—that would be too disgusting.
"Kid, did you hear me? Let him go!"
"Fire-type talent, huh? Let’s see if you can block bullets," the leader sneered coldly.
"Looks like I won't be able to eat in peace today."
Lin Yu sighed. He had wanted a decent meal, but these flies had to show up and ruin his appetite.
Then, the flames in his hand surged violently, instantly swallowing the man whole. The immense force sent him flying. By the time he hit the ground, he was a human torch, howling in agony within the inferno.
"You're looking for death!"
Seeing this, the leader's face changed, and he pulled the trigger. A bullet whistled through the air at high speed, aiming straight for Lin Yu’s forehead.
*Whoosh!*
A blade of fire coalesced in Lin Yu’s hand, and he slashed forward. The bullet was sliced in two, then melted into molten iron by the intense heat of the flames.
"That's impossible!"
The leader’s eyes widened, as if he had seen a ghost. The talent users they had encountered before were weak and could never stand up to firearms.
But what was going on with this guy?
"Are you an A-rank talent user?" the leader shrieked. Only those with A-rank talents could ignore bullets.
"A-rank? I'm not."
Lin Yu smiled, charged forward, and swept his blade of fire across.
*Bang! Bang! Bang!*
A string of bullets erupted, but they couldn't stop Lin Yu’s advance. Every single one was deflected and cut down by the blade of fire.
The leader turned pale with fright and shouted, "Boss, don't kill me! The man behind me is an A-rank talent user too!"
*Slash!*
The blade passed through without a moment’s hesitation, cutting the leader in two. The remaining men saw this and their legs trembled; they were paralyzed with terror. Was this man a monster? Not even guns could deal with him.
"Big brother, spare us!"
Unfortunately, Lin Yu showed no mercy. With a flick of his blade, he cut down five more men in rapid succession. Seeing that Lin Yu remained unmoved and hell-bent on killing, the last two looked ferocious.
"Kid, if you kill us, our leader, Duan Yang, is an A-rank talent user! He won't let you get away with this."
"Duan Yang?"
Lin Yu paused at the name, his blade of fire hovering over the man’s head.
*Gulp...*
The man swallowed hard. Looking at the blade less than five centimeters from his head, sweat beaded on his forehead.
"Kid, our leader is very powerful. You’d better let me go." The man thought Lin Yu had been intimidated by his words and even tried to threaten him further.
*Slash!*
The next moment, the blade fell, cleaving him in two. The final survivor saw this and collapsed to the ground, wetting his pants in fear.
"B-b-big brother, d-d-don't kill me..."
"Your leader's name is Duan Yang?" Lin Yu turned to look at him, speaking the words softly.
"Y-yes..." the man stammered, trembling.
"Where is he? Take me to him."
Lin Yu licked his lips. He had kept Duan Yang in his mind all this time. "Trying to frame me for rape and send me to prison... Heh! Now, it's time to send you to hell."
Back at the hospital, the urinary incontinence had been a minor punishment, far from enough to purge the anger and hatred in his heart. Only death would suffice. He had thought he wouldn't be able to settle the score before leaving Kunming City to find his sister, but who would have thought—the man had delivered himself right to his doorstep.

Meanwhile, at a large farmhouse resort, a dull thud echoed from Duan Yang's room, shaking the very ground.
He hadn't been able to hold it in at this critical moment.
He had farted.
Suddenly, a yellow mist erupted from him, instantly shrouding the entire room.
"Ah, it stinks!"
"Ugh... there's poison in the fart!"
Sounds of vomiting echoed through the mist. A few minutes later, Duan Yang climbed off the bed, pale and trembling, clearly having been gassed by his own toxin. Even though it was his own talent and he couldn't be killed by it, the smell—even he, the master, couldn't stand it.
"Damn it!"
"Lin Yu, you goddamn bastard, I will kill you! I swear it!"
Looking at the woman on the bed with her eyes rolled back, foaming at the mouth and clearly dead from the gas, Duan Yang roared. He felt his entire life was ruined; every time he reached a crucial moment, his farts would betray him.
