Chapter 40: I Never Expected You to Be This Kind of Person [Humbly Requesting Recommendations]
That night, the moonlight was pure and cold, casting its pale radiance over the boundless, shadowy forest. The silvery glow bestowed an air of tranquility and peace upon the darkness.
Clusters of rough tents were pitched atop the soft grass. After a day’s exhaustion, some students whispered quietly, while others meditated in silence. Han Shuo, furtively hiding behind a towering tree, recited a magic incantation under his breath.
A flash of light flickered in the void, and suddenly, a small skeleton wielding a bone dagger appeared. Under Han Shuo’s command, it silently darted toward the tent where Clark resided.
Clark’s tent was set apart from the others, situated at a distance from the students. Though he was outwardly polite and humble, he treated only Fanny with genuine warmth, while his gaze toward the rest carried a faint, condescending disdain. His tent, set well apart from the group, marked the boundary between himself and the others.
The small skeleton now moved with agility, its black bones blending seamlessly with the night. It made not a single sound as it moved, and in mere seconds arrived at Clark’s tent. At Han Shuo’s signal, the skeleton darted inside.
A muffled cry of pain rang out, and Clark’s tent collapsed with a thunderous crash. The skeleton’s figure shot out and swiftly fled toward the southwest.
Clark, disheveled and furious, burst from the wreckage, clutching a sword and scanning the surroundings. With an angry shout, he chased after the skeleton, cursing under his breath as he ran.
Success! Han Shuo chuckled inwardly. He slipped through the shadows beneath the trees, snickering quietly as he followed closely behind Clark, heading in the same direction.
To the southwest, a broad pond lay surrounded by twisted, strange trees. Bathed in bright moonlight, the water shimmered with a silvery hue.
The sound of splashing mingled with bursts of laughter, drifting up from the pond and breathing life into the quiet night.
“Lisa, are you starting to develop? Your chest seems to be changing lately,”
“Hehe, Miss Fanny, let me tell you a secret: swimming can actually enhance your bust. I only discovered it after I tried it myself.”
“Really?” Fanny exclaimed, then laughed softly, her voice playful. “No wonder you’ve suddenly become obsessed with swimming. So that’s the reason! Well, we’ll have to spend extra time in the water tonight.”
“Miss Fanny, your chest is already so lovely and high—do you even care about such things?”
“Haha, of course. There isn’t a woman alive who wouldn’t care.”
“Oh, swimming isn’t the only way. Drinking milk and massaging during bath time can also make your bust fuller and firmer. That’s my experience! I’ve been doing it lately and really noticed a change. You should try it too, Miss Fanny.”
“My, Lisa, you really do know a lot now. And your changes are real—perhaps your methods actually work.”
“Of course! Trust me, you won’t go wrong.” Lisa laughed proudly, speaking to Fanny.
At that moment, the sound of footsteps suddenly echoed from afar. Fanny and Lisa exchanged glances; Fanny frowned and whispered, “What’s that sound?”
Lisa, her head just above water, looked puzzled and shook her head. “I don’t know. I found this spot today while gathering firewood. No one else should know about it.”
Surprised, the two were about to leave when the footsteps drew closer. Clark, sweating profusely, appeared at the edge of the pond, scanning the area anxiously.
When Clark spotted Fanny and Lisa in the water, all three cried out in shock. Lisa, furious, quickly hid herself beneath the surface, pointing at Clark in anger. “Damn you! You call yourself a noble knight, yet you stoop to spying on women—how disgusting!”
“No, no, it’s not what you think! I was chasing a monster and ended up here!” Clark protested anxiously, trying to explain.
“Leave at once, Clark. You’ve disappointed me greatly. I never expected you to be such a person!” Fanny’s face was icy, her voice cold and angry.
“Miss Fanny, I swear I wasn’t spying. Please let me explain!” Clark was sweating bullets; he hadn’t expected to see Fanny and Lisa swimming here, and his explanation tumbled out in confusion.
“Leave now—immediately!” Fanny and Lisa shouted in unison, their voices sharp.
Clark sighed, his face filled with helplessness. He bowed slightly from afar, apologizing, “I’m sorry to you both. I’ll leave right away. Please don’t think ill of me—I truly didn’t mean it.”
With that, Clark left, his head hanging, grumbling and sighing about his rotten luck.
After Clark departed, Han Shuo emerged from the shadows, raising his middle finger toward the distant Clark with a wicked grin, muttering, “Trying to steal my woman? Noble knight, go to hell!”
“Turns out even noble knights have such revolting hobbies,” Lisa said bitterly, snorting in disdain.
“All men are the same—noble knights or lowly servants. Some hide it, some don’t,” Fanny echoed, her voice tinged with reflection.
“Servant? Miss Fanny, you’re not referring to Brian, are you?” Lisa was startled, then looked at Fanny with curiosity.
“Uh... no, no, just a random thought, nothing more. Haha, Lisa, don’t let your imagination run wild,” Fanny quickly disguised her slip with a nervous laugh.
Yet Lisa’s face remained suspicious, her gaze strange as she murmured, “Could she really mean Brian?”
Hidden in the shadows, Han Shuo gazed at them, his mind troubled by their conversation. Before he could dwell on it, his eyes suddenly widened and he froze, dumbfounded.
At that moment, Fanny gradually approached the edge of the pond. Her body, concealed beneath the water, slowly became visible. The moonlight caressed her flawless figure, droplets glistening on her pale skin like jewels, sliding gently down her silk-like curves.
Her upper body, revealed beneath the moonlight, was so beautiful that Han Shuo’s breath caught. Her full, firm breasts, with rosy tips, glowed intoxicatingly. Her taut, smooth belly was free of excess fat, her slender arms delicate as snow-white lotus roots. Her damp, pale violet hair lay tousled across her smooth shoulders, exuding a soul-stealing allure.
From the waist down, she remained immersed in the water, but the moonlit pond allowed Han Shuo to glimpse her fair, shapely legs.
It was the first time Han Shuo had ever seen a naked woman, and such a stunning beauty at that. Fanny, her body adorned with glistening droplets under the moon, was so ethereal and perfect that Han Shuo was completely entranced, lost in a daze.
A strange sound suddenly reached Han Shuo’s ears, jolting him from his reverie. He looked around in panic.
Lisa’s terrified scream burst from the depths of the pond. Still in the water, she pointed behind her, shrieking, “Fanny—Miss Fanny, a venomous deepwater python!”
Fanny was stunned. Turning around, she saw a massive, five or six meter-long serpent swimming rapidly from the far side of the pond. Its body was a mottled green, its spine lined with sharp spikes. The serpent’s dark green eyes glowed with fierce, pitiless light. From its gaping maw, fangs bared, it spewed poisonous green mist as it sped toward Lisa.
“Run, Lisa! Hurry, run!” Fanny’s face went pale, her voice trembling with terror as she screamed.
But Lisa seemed paralyzed with fright. Her limbs thrashed wildly, splashing water, but her speed was slowed by the sudden appearance of the deepwater python.
“Miss Fanny, help me!” Lisa cried, her voice trembling with panic as she frantically tried to swim to shore. Yet the serpent’s distance to her grew ever shorter.
“Damn it, where’s Clark now?” Fanny cursed without care for her dignity, her perfect figure turning back toward Lisa.
By now, Han Shuo was fully alert. Seeing the serpent closing in on both women, he hesitated for a moment, then burst from the shadows, shouting, “What’s going on? Damn, a deepwater python! I’ll help you!”
The deepwater python was a level three magical beast, not only possessing formidable attack power but also capable of spewing poisonous mist from its jaws. While it remained in the water, its speed and threat were greatly increased.
When the group faced a level four Frost Eagle, they had to fight with all their might to slay it. This level three deepwater python was even more difficult to handle. Even Han Shuo himself had no confidence in facing it, but he could not stand by and watch Fanny be devoured. He had no choice but to risk his life.
“Damn it, I’ll go all out!” Han Shuo drew a dagger, his figure flashing like lightning through the darkness, and soared straight toward the pond.
