Chen Limin, newly appointed head of the Security Bureau, had never been this exhausted before. Just at dusk, he received a call reporting a suspected spy discovered at the Computer Research Institute. The spy was attempting to steal the orbital parameters of the lunar landing spacecraft. Upon hearing the news, he jumped up in alarm. Now, he was aboard a helicopter en route to the Computer Research Institute at Huake University, where the institute was located.
“Whirrrr—whirrrr—whirrrr”—the massive rotor blades of the helicopter disrupted the quiet of the dormitory area of Huake University, awakening all the students and teachers residing there. Especially the students, who swarmed onto their balconies, curiously looking up at the sky.
“Whoa, a Z-20?”
“Why is a military helicopter at our school?”
“Damn, it looks so cool! Wait, why is it landing on the sports field?”
“Is some big shot coming? Why at midnight?”
“...”
Within seconds, the slowly descending military helicopter had attracted the attention of everyone in the nearby dormitories.
Inside the helicopter, Chen Limin passed a tablet to the members of the operational team.
“Chen Haoran, male, 36 years old, associate professor at Huake University’s Computer Research Institute. The Information Division has confirmed through technical means that this individual is colluding with hostile foreign forces to steal our country’s classified information.”
“Everyone, your mission is to capture him.”
“Yes, sir!”
The National Security Operations Team, due to Chen Limin’s connection with Project 237, was among the first non-military units equipped with the Type 23 exoskeleton armor. Although it felt a bit like using a cannon to kill a mosquito, as the exoskeleton armor made its first official public appearance, Chen Limin felt it was important to make a strong impression.
“This time, you’re wearing the exoskeleton to attract attention openly. Show me your coolest poses!”
Chen Limin’s words brought laughter from the three soldiers, easing the previously tense atmosphere.
“Brother Chen, don’t worry. We’ll make headlines tomorrow.”
“Brother Chen, you better worry about yourself. Remember to cover your face—we’re operatives; it doesn’t matter if we’re seen, ha ha.”
“Cut it out. We’re at the drop point. Get ready!”
With that, Chen Limin helped slide open the helicopter’s door. The three soldiers, holding their steel rifles, exited in single file.
...
In a second-floor dormitory at Huake University, Zhang Hetao and his roommates crowded onto the balcony, their faces full of curiosity as they watched the descending helicopter.
“Old Zhang, you’re a military enthusiast. What’s the story with this helicopter?” one roommate asked eagerly.

“I may be a military fan, but this is my first time seeing a Z-20 up close!” Zhang Hetao, busily snapping photos with his phone, simultaneously sent messages to his military fan group.
A Tao: “Big news! A helicopter just landed at our school at midnight! [pictures] [pictures]”
Charming Little Puddle: “Whoa, what school is this? A military academy? That’s a Z-20!”
Mu Mu Yu: “So jealous. Missed the last airshow too. But what’s going on? That’s the dormitory building opposite, right? Did the Z-20 make an emergency landing?”
Never Say I’m Powerless (group owner): “Could it be a capture operation? ‘Dog head’ emoji.”
Amid the envy and jealousy of netizens, Zhang Hetao refocused on the helicopter outside his balcony. He turned on the video recording function, determined to document the entire event.
The helicopter descended slowly. When it was about five or six meters above the ground, the cabin door was pulled open. Then, three soldiers clad in pitch-black exoskeleton armor jumped out.
“Bang! Bang! Bang!” The dull clang of steel hitting the ground made Zhang Hetao’s eyes widen.
What the hell did I just see?!
Not daring to believe his eyes, Zhang rubbed them, thinking he was hallucinating. But when he opened them again, an even more incredible sight appeared.
Despite the exoskeleton suits looking extremely bulky, the three soldiers moved with surprising agility, completely unhindered. The sharp gleam reflecting from the armor under the lights was unmistakably real.
What convinced Zhang Hetao this was the real deal was the rifles the soldiers carried. He was certain they were genuine firearms.
Could this really be exoskeleton armor?!
“Wow, are they filming a movie? Those are exoskeletons—so cool!”
At this moment, Zhang Hetao’s roommates had yet to grasp the gravity of the situation. Like other onlookers, they assumed it was a movie shoot.
But what happened next gradually awakened everyone’s awareness.
The three soldiers had a clear target. They raised their guns and charged toward the faculty apartments.
“Drones have been deployed. Target not at home?!”
“Where is he?”
“Signal trace shows he’s at the parking lot. Drones are following.”
“Target locked. He’s getting into his car!”
It turned out that upon hearing the helicopter noise, Chen Haoran, who hadn’t even started stealing anything yet, was terrified and immediately ran to the parking lot without hesitation. He had no idea what was going on outside, but regardless of the situation, he figured driving away was the safest choice.
As his car left the parking lot and reached the apartment building’s front, it encountered the three rapidly approaching soldiers.
“What the hell?” Chen Haoran stared in shock at the three figures clad in mysterious black steel armor, who looked like Iron Man cosplayers.
“Where did these lunatics come from, playing cosplay at midnight?” he cursed silently.
Without hesitation, he abruptly turned the steering wheel, attempting to take a detour. But this exactly played into the soldiers’ hands.
“小丁, catch that car!” the team leader ordered decisively. He aimed at Chen Haoran’s rear tire and pulled the trigger.
“Bang!” A muffled sound.
The tire burst, causing the car to sway wildly. Panicked, Chen slammed on the brakes. The vehicle skidded and drifted straight toward a flower bed.
The entire dormitory area was instantly filled with the screeching sound of tires scraping the ground.
“Bring it on! Time for my show!” grinned a burly man in the team. He clapped his hands and leapt, using the powered suit to jump an incredible seven or eight meters in a single bound.
In three steps, he landed firmly in front of the flower bed.
“Here comes the power!” he laughed heartily, stepping back and raising both hands.
“Screeeech—”
A moment later, the car, spewing hot exhaust, charged forward violently.
“Oh my God!”
On the balcony, Zhang Hetao was dumbfounded.
A mantis trying to stop a chariot—this was exactly like that!
“Bang!” A violent collision rang out.
Zhang Hetao fearfully opened his eyes slightly. Then his mouth fell open, his pupils dilated in shock.
As the dust settled, the white car suddenly wobbled.
“Look down there!” a roommate shouted, pointing sharply.
Zhang Hetao followed the finger.
One man was holding the car high above his head with both hands.
This scene stunned everyone present.
The object lifted was not just a 1.5-ton car.
Every student and teacher watching from the balconies had their worldview lifted high by this man.
It was truly... unbelievable!
